Internship Overview
The Data Analytics Internship in Nagercoil at Shiro Training is a practical, project-oriented internship designed to help students understand how data is collected, cleaned, analysed, visualized and converted into useful business insights.
The program focuses on commonly used analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI and Python. Interns work with real-world style datasets, perform data cleaning and exploratory analysis, create dashboards and complete a guided analytics project.
The internship is suitable for students who want practical exposure beyond classroom learning and for fresh graduates who want to strengthen their portfolio for entry-level Data Analyst roles.
During the internship, participants will learn how to identify business questions, prepare data, calculate key performance indicators, create visual reports and present findings clearly.
Responsibilities
• Attend mentor-led practical training sessions.
• Work with structured datasets for analysis.
• Clean and prepare data using Excel, SQL and Python.
• Write SQL queries to retrieve and analyse data.
• Create interactive dashboards using Power BI.
• Perform exploratory data analysis.
• Identify trends, patterns and business insights.
• Complete assigned analytics tasks and mini projects.
• Develop one final Data Analytics project.
• Present and explain the project at the end of the internship.
Qualifications
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Interest in Data Analytics, Business Analytics or Data Science.
• Willingness to work with datasets and analytical tools.
• Basic mathematics and logical thinking are helpful.
• Prior programming knowledge is not mandatory for beginners.
